Prayer

Discipleship Fellowship Prayer Worship Outreach

Jesus said, “My house will be a house of prayer.” Here at WAC, we want to be just that. While prayer can be visibly seen and experienced in our Sunday morning gatherings and in such ministries like small groups, it is most prominent in our monthly time of worship-based prayer called The River.

Why is it called The River? Jesus likened his ministry to us in terms of water. In John 4:10 Jesus said, “If you only knew the gift God has for you… you would ask me, and I would give you living water.” Rivers serve many purposes …

  • Rivers provide cleansing to those in need of cleaning
  • Rivers provide refreshment to those who are thirsty
  • Rivers provide life

We all need God’s continual cleansing from our sins and shortcomings in following Jesus.

We all face challenges and difficulties of life and so desire refreshment for our souls and minds.

We long to experience the abundant and full life Jesus said is available to all who follow him.

Continuous cleansing, refreshment, and life are all things Jesus offers us. It is through a time of united worship-based prayer that we can experience fresh encounters with God for our lives. Join us at The River as we meet with Jesus.
