Discipleship
As God’s children it is our privilege to not only receive life through Jesus, but to also emulate and experience the life of Jesus. Discipleship is the process of making lifelong followers of Jesus who will express his life through their own. The Bible teaches us how to do it. Being with other believers encourages us to do it. The following are just a few contexts where this takes place:
- Sunday morning gatherings – As the Bible is opened up and taught, so we too at WAC open our hearts and minds each week to hear from God the things he longs to tell us.
- LIFEgroups – At least twice a month adults at WAC enjoy meeting in homes to better connect with God and each other. Meaningful fellowship and conversations that center on Christ and his work in and through us take place here. Any and all are welcome to join or just check one out. learn more>>
- Kid’s Club - Sunday nights are designed for kids at WAC. From 6-7:45 pm. preschoolers through elementary aged kids get together each week for fun skits, crafts, games, and snacks all tied together with a Biblical theme and truth.
- The WAY (WAC’s Youth group) – Every Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm. Middle and high school students come out and experience fun, friendship, and conversations about Christ.
- AboutFace – This is our College & Career group that meets Saturday evenings to grow deeper in their relationships with each other and Jesus. To join or view any of their recent conversations, join the Facebook group.
- Women’s ministry – What can we say…ladies love to get together, and that’s true at WAC. Throughout the year ladies enjoy participating in various Bible and topical studies, women’s conferences, and other social outings.
- Men’s ministry - Becoming better leaders, husbands, fathers, and all around “men” can’t be accomplished without the influence of others. That’s why we offer Guy’s Club on Sunday nights (6:30-7:45). Here the men enjoy the camraderie that comes from an indepth study of God’s word. Men’s retreats and outings throughout the year further enhance their relationships with each other and Christ.
